The Association of Physicians Uganda is a professional body bringing physicians together to advance Internal Medicine, strengthen professional practice and improve adult health in Uganda.

Transform the health sector in Uganda.
Our Objectives
To promote dissemination of the knowledge of Internal Medicine, its specialties and adult health that will enhance the welfare of Ugandan adults.
To encourage research in all aspects of Internal Medicine and adult health.
To play the role of advocacy for adults and act in an advisory capacity to government, universities, professional bodies and communities on health matters.
To hold or arrange periodic meetings of members of the Association and of the medical profession for scientific, medico-political and social purposes.
Message from the President
It is indeed a pleasure to have you congregate yet again for this year’s Physicians Annual Conference and AGM. It is prudent upon all of us to allot time and resources for this interaction which not only fosters professional growth but also affords us an opportunity to interact socially and exchange experience.
We have a lot of challenges in our different areas of practice including health care funding at both national and personal level, lack of diagnostic tools in most areas of the country, heavy workload with resultant physician burnout, knowledge and attitude of society regarding western medicine; the list is endless.
