Objectives

To promote dissemination of the knowledge of Internal medicine, its specialties and adult Health that will enhance the welfare of Ugandan Adults.
To encourage research in all aspects of internal medicine and adult health.
To play the role of advocacy for adults and act in an advisory capacity to government, university, professional bodies, community, etc., in matters pertaining to health.
To hold or arrange for the holding of periodic meetings of the members of the Association and of the Medical profession, generally for scientific, medico-political, and social purposes.

Message from the President

It is indeed a pleasure to have you congregate yet again for this years Physicians Annual conference and AGM. It is prudent upon all of us to allot time and resources for this interaction which not only fosters professional growth but affords us an opportunity to interact socially and exchange experience as well as catch up on times gone by

We have a lot of challenges in our different areas of practice including health care funding at both national and personal level, lack of diagnostic
tools in most areas of the country, heavy workload with resultant physician burnout, knowledge and attitude of society regarding western medicine;
the list is endless
