ABOUT US
The Association of Physicians Uganda (APU) is a non-governmental organization that promotes good health, welfare and professional services for adult patients in order to transform the health sector in Uganda. It was founded in 1996 by Dr. Apollo Kagwa, David Okello and Dr. The Association of Physicians of Uganda is registered with the Registrar of Companies and incorporated in 27th February 2015.
APU is the local Chapter of East, Central and Southern Africa College of Physicians (ECSACOP). It is also a member of the Uganda Medical Association.
ACTIVITIES
A series of activities are implemented by APU so as to improve the health and welfare of adult patientsin Uganda while promoting the practice, science and art of medicine. Activities include; quarterly in-service training via Continuous Medical Education (CMEs) sessions; Annual Scientific Conferences; and
specialist training.
